Summit Clinical Research Website
Project Overview
The Summit Clinical Research website represents the second complete website redesign I led during my five-year tenure with the organization. When I joined Summit in 2020, one of my first responsibilities was replacing a simple one-page GoDaddy website with a modern WordPress site built using the Salient theme. As the organization expanded into a global clinical research network, I later led a second, more comprehensive redesign that further enhanced the user experience, content strategy, and scalability of the website.
Challenge
Following years of rapid organizational growth, Summit’s website needed to evolve to better support patient recruitment, sponsor engagement, physician outreach, and corporate communications. The redesign required a scalable architecture capable of supporting an expanding global network, new service offerings, and a continually growing library of content.
Solution
I designed and developed a fully responsive WordPress website using the Salient theme, creating a modern user experience centered around clear navigation, compelling visuals, and strategic calls to action. The rebuild included redesigned service pages, therapeutic area content, physician and patient resources, news and careers sections, and an improved content architecture that made the site easier to maintain while supporting SEO best practices.
Results
Over the course of five years, Summit’s digital presence evolved from a basic one-page website into a comprehensive marketing platform supporting a global clinical research organization. Both website redesigns were built using WordPress and the Salient theme, providing a flexible foundation that enabled continuous content growth, improved user experience, and streamlined website management.
